Enlarging a room, opening the kitchen to the living room, creating a doorway: ProDemolition dismantles plaster partitions and demolishes or saws non-load-bearing masonry walls, protecting the floor and surroundings from debris, and removes the rubble and plaster waste at the end of the works.
Partition or load-bearing wall: how can you tell?
A lightweight partition (plaster, plasterboard, gypsum blocks) is usually not load-bearing. A thick brick wall, aligned with walls on other floors or carrying joists, may be. If in doubt, only an architect or engineer can decide.
Our method
- Protection of the floor and neighbouring rooms
- Dismantling of plaster partitions, demolition or sawing of masonry walls (chipping hammer, disc cutter)
- Clean cutting of openings to your dimensions
- Removal of rubble and plaster waste
- Cleaning
Tenants need the landlord’s written consent: read our article Tenant: am I allowed to remove a partition? and our guide how to remove or open up a partition.
How much does it cost?
There is no single price: it depends on the volume to demolish, the materials and their thickness, access (floor, lift, parking), the technique required and rubble removal. Removal of construction and household waste starts from €500. For everything else, we give you a precise quote after a free site visit.

Do I need a permit to remove a partition?
For a non-load-bearing partition, usually not. For a load-bearing wall a planning permit is normally required, with a study by an architect or engineer.
Do you make openings in brick walls?
Yes, we demolish or saw non-load-bearing masonry walls to your dimensions.
Is there a lot of dust?
Demolition always creates dust, but we protect and seal off the area and clean up at the end.
